Drizzle Odysea Oak Tree Honey over Greek yogurt or spread on warm sourdough for a rich, woody sweetness. This monovarietal honeydew honey is harvested from hives near Mount Olympus, offering robust flavour with resinous notes. It is cold extracted and unfiltered, preserving natural nutrients.
Produced by artisan beekeeper, Alexandros Gousiaris in the small village of Ilias in Central Greece. Alexandros tenderly caters to the needs of his bees and this is reflected in the unique quality of his honey.
A monovarietal honeydew honey, harvested at the end of July from hives placed near the oak tree forest at the foot of Mount Olympus. The Greek oak trees the bees feed on, give this honey its robust character and a deep, dark colour that resembles molasses. Oak tree honey has a complex flavour with intriguing woody and resinous notes, and is less sweet compared to nectar honeys.
Made in small batches, the honey is cold extracted, unfiltered, unpasteurised and unprocessed, ensuring its nutritional properties are preserved. Due to its seasonality this exceptional honey is only produced in limited amounts, each jar individually numbered and marked with the year of harvest.
