Crunchy and filling, the chia seeds in this delicious mix are sourced from the sunny fields of South America, where the chia plants have been cultivated for thousands of years. There, they were thought of so highly in Aztec times that the locals paid them as legal tender to their kings. Very temperamental, the chia plant can only grow under very specific conditions. We only source chia that grows in its natural ocurring range and it is looked after by local farmers who follow innovative cultivation and harvesting methods that were passed down through generations.
