To care for the leather, Mulberry recommends regular maintenance with protective leather gels or sprays, such as Collinil Leather Gel, to improve water resistance and protect against dirt and moisture. Keep the bag away from water and heavy rainfall; if it gets wet, blot with paper towels, stuff with paper, and allow to dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or sunlight to prevent uneven fading. Superficial marks can often be rubbed gently with a soft cloth. Note that darker-colored leather may transfer color onto lighter fabrics, and dark fabric dyes like denim can transfer onto lighter leather.
