The bag can be carried by the chain strap or held in hand after detaching the strap. Protective leather gels or sprays such as Collinil Leather Gel can be applied to improve water resistance when needed.
Keep the bag away from water and heavy rainfall. If it gets wet, remove moisture with paper towels, pack loosely with paper, and allow to dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Prolonged exposure to heat or sunlight may cause uneven fading. Superficial marks can be rubbed gently with a soft cloth.
Darker-coloured leathers can transfer colour onto lighter-coloured fabrics and mark it. Dark-coloured fabric dyes (such as denim) can also transfer onto lighter-coloured leathers. Colour transfer in this way is not covered under the Mulberry Care Policy. Take extra care using products with dark-coloured suede or fabric lining, as these materials can cause the colour to transfer to lighter-coloured fabrics or objects.
