March to May, or all year round to grow indoors. In pots or trays of moist compost. Sow thinly, cover lightly with compost. Keep at 15-20°C and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-14 days. Thin plants to further pots or trays if necessary.
To grow outdoors, stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 15cm apart in final position. To grow indoors, transplant to 15cm pots of compost, place in a light airy location. Outdoor crops June to October, indoor crops all year round. Pick as Required.
When cooking, add leaves at the last minute to retain maximum flavour.
