Mount Gay Silver is made using a blend of pot and column still rums, differentiating from most white rums who use column still only. This gives a complexity to the liquid and rich tropical fruit notes, which make it fantastic in cocktails. The pot still part of the blend is aged for 2 years in ex-American Whiskey casks. The liquid is clear due to the double charcoal filtration, which removes the colour and adds to the smooth, elegant flavour, characteristic of Mount Gay Silver.
