The design for Motion fabric references the Johnston typeface, and archival material in the collection of London Transport Museum: tube maps, posters and paraphernalia. It celebrates the relationship between the fast-moving city, modern transport, graphic design and woven textiles and was designed for the London Transport Museum as part of the London Design Festival.
Cut of the cloth: These cushion covers are cut from a fabric with a large design repeat, therefore the cushion you receive might be a different section of the pattern than the cushion shown in the image. Cushions tend to not be identical to each other, or the same on both sides. Large-scale pattern repeats are a signature feature of Margo Selby designs, it makes our cushions unique and dynamic. Whilst the front and back designs are made from the same woven fabric, they are not always pattern matched so the back of the cushion may look different.
