Preparation: Noodles used in soups or casseroles should not be boiled more than 4 minutes. Bring 2.84 liters (5 pints) water to a rapid boil. Add salt if desired. Empty noodles into boiling water. Cook 4 to 6 minutes uncovered, until desired tenderness is reached. Stir frequently. Drain and serve.
