M& S Spanish Paella Rice
This absorbent round-grain rice is perfect paired with homemade paella dishes. Simply cook over the hob and add chicken, chorizo and prawns for extra flavour. Serves approximately 6.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. To ensure freshness, peel off sticker provided and use to reseal pack after opening.

Instructions
Hob - From Ambient. Place 200g paella rice in a pan with 500ml boiling water. Cook on medium heat for 25 min.

Recipe SuggestionChicken & Chorizo PaellaServes 4400g paella rice, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 150g marinated red peppers, cut into strips, 1l hot chicken or vegetable stock with 1 pinch saffron, 2 small onions, diced, 2 garlic cloves, sliced, 400g tinned tomatoes, 3 tbsps olive oil, 100g peas or broad beans, 4 chicken thighs, 200g chorizo, chopped into 1cm chunks, 25ml sherry vinegar or wine, chopped flat leaf parsley & lemon quarters to garnish1. Cook the chicken and chorizo in a paella pan and set aside.2. Sweat the onions and garlic in the oil until soft, add the tomatoes and paprika, then stir in the rice, making sure it's well coated.3. Add the wine or sherry vinegar, then the stock with the saffron, filling the pan almost to the top.4. Cook over a medium heat for about 25 minutes, until the rice is evenly cooked through - shake the pan occasionally, but don't stir!5. Once the rice is cooked, add the chorizo and chicken, heat for another 5-10 minutes, then add the peppers and peas.6. Once all the liquid is absorbed, turn off the heat and cover the paella with a cloth or tinfoil for a couple of minutes to make the rice even fluffier. Serve, garnished with lemon and parsley.Why not try...You can make paella with all sorts of meat, vegetables or fish - prawns are a great substitute for chicken.
