Preparation and Usage
CookingMashed PotatoesBoil 20-25 minsPeel and cut into evenly sized pieces. Place into a pan of cold water and bring to the boil. Simmer until tender. Drain. Return the potatoes to heat for 1 minute to dry. Add butter, milk and seasoning then mash until smooth and creamy.Roast PotatoesBoil 5-10 minsPreheat oven. Peel and cut into evenly sized pieces. Place into a pan of cold water and bring to the boil. OvenDrain. Shake to roughen surface. Preheat some oil in a roasting tin. Spread potatoes evenly in roasting tin and baste. Roast uncovered.Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas 7, 40-50 minsTurn once during cooking or until golden.Chipped PotatoesDeep fry 6-8 minsPeel and evenly slice. Rinse and pat dry. Preheat deep fryer to 190°C. Drain, dry on kitchen paper and serve.Jacket PotatoesOvenPreheat oven. Pierce several times. Place directly on the oven shelf. Cook until tender.Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas 7, 50-60 minsMicrowaveJacket Potato (per potato)Microwave ovens vary. The following is a guide only. Pierce several times. Place on a microwaveable plate. Cook on high (100%).750 W 5 mins, 30 secs850 W 5 minsTake care when removing this product from the microwave as it, and the escaping steam, will be hot.Check that product is hot before serving.
