M& S Organic Green LentilsOrganic green lentils, high in protein and fibre. Cook over the hob. Once cooked, drain, rinse and use as required. 1 of your 5 a day.

Storage
For Best Before End, see back of pack. Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, peel off sticker and use to reseal pack.  

Instructions
Boil - From Ambient. 40 MinsNo need to soak. Rinse thoroughly before cooking. Place 100g of lentils into a large saucepan with 500ml of water. Place the pan on the medium hob over a high heat. Bring to the boil for 10 mins. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 mins, until the lentils have softened but are slightly firm to the bite. Drain thoroughly, rinse and use as required. Do not reheat.

Recipe SuggestionHalloumi with Green Lentils and VegetablesServes 4Preparation Time: 15 minutesCooking Time: 50 minutesIngredients200g M& S Organic Green Lentils500ml M& S vegetable stock3 Mixed peppers, deseeded and diced3 Large organic courgettes, round sliced4 tbsp olive oil500g M& S halloumi cheese, sliced3 tbsp balsamic vinegarSalt and pepperMethod1. Bring the lentils to the boil in a pan with the stock and boil for 10 mins then simmer for 30 mins until tender. Drain thoroughly.2. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan 180°C), Gas Mark 6.3. Meanwhile, coat the peppers and courgettes in 1 tbsp olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook on a baking tray in the centre of the preheated oven for 25 mins, until lightly browned.4. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan and fry the halloumi on each side until golden brown.5. Mix the lentils, roasted vegetables, vegetables, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar in a bowl.To Serve: Divide between 4 bowls and add halloumi.
