Indulgently rich cupcakes beautiful with any decoration.
1 box Chocolate Cake Mix
3 eggs
100ml milk
100g unsalted butter, softened
12 cupcake cases
Oven 180C / Fan 160C / Gas mark 4
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/Fan 160C/Gas mark 4.
2. Empty the cake sachet into a bowl and add the milk, eggs and softened butter.
3. Whisk for 1 min to combine the ingredients well.
4. Divide the mix between 12 cupcake cases.
5. Bake for 12-15 mins until the cakes spring back.
6. Remove from the oven and transfer the cakes to a cooling rack.
Chocolate Sponge Cake
Makes a 2-Layer 20cm Cake
An all-time chocolate classic perfect for celebrations.
1 box Chocolate Cake Mix
3 eggs
100ml milk
100g unsalted butter, softened
2 x 20cm round sandwich tins
Oven 180C / Fan 160C / Gas mark 4
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/Fan 160C/Gas Mark 4.
2. Grease and line 2 x 20cm round sandwich cake tins with baking parchment.
3. Empty the cake sachet into a bowl and add the milk, eggs and softened butter.
4. Whisk for 1 min to combine the ingredients well.
5. Divide the mix between the 2 prepared tins, and bake in the oven for 25-30 mins until well risen and the cakes spring back.
