FAQ

Does the mask run on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

The mask is controlled by Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi. You can use the mask with or without App (just don't connect the mask with the App to shut down Bluetooth).

How frequently should I be using the mask?

The Renew Mask protocol consists of 4-5 treatments per week for up to 6 weeks, followed by maintenance as and when desired. You may use your mask every day if you wish, as there is no downside to using it more frequently.

How many sessions will I get from a charge?

If charged for 3hrs with a 5V 1amp USB charger/plug - you should get approximately 6x 10-minute sessions.

Can I keep my eyes open when in use?

The goggles provide sufficient protection for the light leakage into the eyes. However, should you find the light too strong (particularly on the red/infrared setting), we would recommend keeping eyes closed.

Can it be used when pregnant?

While LED light is deemed very safe and non-invasive, our products have not specifically been tested for use while pregnant. Because of this, we would recommend discussing this with your midwife or GP prior to starting treatment.

Can all skin types use the LUSTRE® RENEW Pro Facewear?

The mask is suitable for users with a Skin Type of I-VI on the Fitzpatrick skin type scale. Fitzpatrick Skin Types V and VI can use the device, however we strongly recommend assessing your skin carefully after each session as there is an increased risk of pigmentation on those skin types. Please refer to the following Fitzpatrick scale to determine if your skin type is suitable for safe use of the mask.

Can I use the mask with a cream/serum that includes retinols?

Retinol creams can make you photosensitive and can vary in strength, so it is recommended to use with caution, and monitor your skin closely for any adverse effects.

Suitable for

Suitable for skin types I-VI on the Fitzpatrick scale. Users with skin types V and VI should monitor for pigmentation changes. Avoid direct eye exposure to LED lights. Discontinue use if discomfort occurs and consult a healthcare professional.

How to use

Prior to session, cleanse your face with your chosen cleanser.

Always make sure you do a sensitivity test on your arm before using the mask for the first time - as outlined in the supplied IFU.

STEP 1: Make sure your device is fully charged.

It will take 2 to 3 hours for a full charge, then it's ready for use.

Turn the mask on by holding down the power button (located on the forehead of the mask) until the indication LED remains on.

STEP 2: Select your programme.

Choose your light program by pressing the button again - or create a more customised session with preferred lights aimed at different areas of the face via the LUSTRE® App.

STEP 3: Sit back and enjoy your session.

Using the adjustable strap, secure the mask onto your face. Each session lasts 10 minutes after which the lights turn off automatically.

Consistency drives results - use 5-6x weekly. Start your 4-week transformation.

• Fitzpatrick Skin Types V and VI: Use with caution due to increased risk of pigmentation.
• Eye Safety: Do not shine the LED lights directly into eyes - may cause temporary vision loss.
• Age Restrictions: Not for use by children under 13. Ages 13-18 require adult supervision.
• Supervision Required: Children under 18 must not clean, charge, or use the device unsupervised.

Do not use if:

• Pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
• Taking photosensitizing medication (consult a doctor).
• Suffering from epilepsy, lupus, photosensitive eczema, albinism, light-induced headaches, circulatory disorders, or any photosensitive disorder.
• You have bacterial infections, open wounds, phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, or varicose veins in the treatment area.
• Avoid use if allergic to silicone, polyester, nylon, or lycra® (materials in mask and strap).

Cautions

• Do not look directly into the lights.
• Always use integrated eye protection.
• Perform a light sensitivity test before first use.
• Use only on individuals 13 years and older under proper supervision.
• Consult a doctor before use if: Pregnant, Diagnosed or suspected of having cancer
• Do not place near or in contact with water or any wet surface.

Storage

Store the device in the provided pouch or packaging.

Do not bend, stretch, crush, or place heavy objects on the device during storage or travel.

Avoid direct sunlight and extreme heat or cold.

Keep away from water or moist areas.
