A beautiful star-shaped centrepiece for a variety of festive occasions, it looks beautiful cut into horizontal slices and arranged like a Christmas tree, before dusting with icing sugar. Unlike Panettone, the more familiar Italian festive sweet treat, Pandoro (meaning golden bread), contains no candied fruit and is always served decorated with icing sugar. Wonderful at any time of day, Pandoro can also be used to make a beautiful breakfast 'French Toast' or for a show stopping bread and butter pudding. Also delicious lightly toasted with a thin layer of your favourite sweet spread.
