Wine of France. Domaine de Leyrissat is an attractive property situated near the old village of Pomport, in the Dordogne region of South West France. The conditions are ideal for growing the traditional grape varieties of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle. The development of botrytis is an essential element in Monbazillac wines. The grapes were hand harvested at full maturity, creating an attractive golden colour and velvety flavours of honey and orange blossom. An excellent partner to classic desserts and ripe blue cheeses, and traditionally matched with foie gras.
