From the picturesque rolling hillsides northwest of Lyon, and made exclusively from Gamay grapes, Beaujolais is often relatively light-bodied with lots of youthful fruit and refreshingly high acidity.

Bright and lively red, this youthful, juicy Beaujolais has plenty of lifted red fruit. Crushed red berries and black pepper on the palate with floral notes and a dusting of allspice.

Tasting Notes
Exhuberant fruity red wine with juicy crushed strawberries and cherry characters. The palate is soft and approachable with vibrant acidity and a mouthwatering bitter cherry finish.

History
Boutinot France ¿s new offices are in the middle of vineyards of St Veran AC on the southern perimeter of the Maconnais. Drive five minutes down the road and cross the border into the northern rim of the Beaujolais cru, St. Amour ¿ the village in which Samantha Bailey, our winemaker responsible for Beaujolais & Maconnais, got married ¿ all the hilly Beaujolais crus lie to the south in front of you.

Gamay vines grown on the slopes of the rolling beaujolais hills.

Vinification Details
Whole bunch Gamay is fermented using traditional carbonic maceration techniques. Short cuvasion is used in order to keep the up front juicy fruit characters.
