Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne houses, established in 1760 by François Delamotte. It took the name Lanson in 1837 when Jean-Baptiste Lanson took over the management of the estate after Delamotte's death.
In 1900, Queen Victoria awarded Lanson with a Royal Warrant as an official supplier to the Court of England, a distinction which Lanson has retained ever since.
