Lagavulin is like a bonfire from the coast of Islay: one of the smokiest and most intense whiskies in the world. Its sweetness and dried fruit notes give it an even richer character. The 8 year old single malt whisky commemorates the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Lagavulin distillery. Its present character was additionally inspired by Britain's most famous Victorian whisky critic, Alfred Barnard, who visited the distillery in the 1880s. Its fragrant, aromatic smoke, paired with fresh sea notes, unfolds best with a shot of water. Of course, you can also enjoy this single malt very well in a nosing glass - neat or on ice. This Islay whisky is characterised by a light body that becomes pleasantly oily with time in the glass. The nuances boast a wonderful, full flavour that exceeds all expectations.
