Wool is a naturally warm and comfortable fibre, and a wool rug also acts as an excellent thermal and sound insulator. As wool is a very fibrous material, wool rugs may pill naturally during the first few months; this is normal for this type of product and is not considered a defect. Excess fibres should be gently removed by hand where possible, and a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush should not be used as it may pull and damage the fibres. The pilling will gradually reduce over time.
