This John Lewis framed print showcases Ron Lawson's Blue Island artwork in watercolour and gouache. Perfect for bringing the Scottish Highlands into your home, it features a solid ash wood frame and glass glazing.
Museum-quality print by Perthshire-based artist Ron Lawson. Using watercolour and gouache, Lawson looks to capture the remoteness and majesty of the Outer Hebrides and Scottish Highlands. Made in the UK, the print is glazed and presented with a window mount in a stained solid ash wood frame.
Born at home on a farm in Mid Lothian in 1960, Ron Lawson spent his early years enjoying the open spaces of the Scottish countryside. On leaving school at 16, Ron started work in the art studio of a large Scottish publishing house and here was encouraged to develop his watercolour skills. After 35 years, Ron left the firm to devote more time to painting and embark on a career as a full-time artist. Mixing a lifelong love of cycling with a desire to capture the beauty of the Highlands and islands of Scotland, Ron explores these areas with his bicycle, sketchpad and paint.
