Jennifer Paxton Parker was raised in Richmond, Virginia. Her parents encouraged her innate drawing talent from an early age. Heavily influenced by her grandfather's library of personal sketchbooks, she focused on realism, figurative work and portraiture. Jen received her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001. Once working in mainly graphite and pastel, she has expanded to watercolour and acrylic in a wide range of subject matters. After a successful career in fashion, Jen now resides back in Richmond happily balancing raising her two children and creating art.
