To prevent wax tunnelling, burn until the wax has melted and pooled to the edge. Use the lid to extinguish the flame. Allow the candle to solidify before relighting. Trim the wick between uses to no longer than ¼ inch (6 mm). Do not burn for longer than four hours at a time.
