One dose of two Imodium Original 2mg Capsules can relieve diarrhoea quickly and effectively.

Imodium works by slowing down your bowel and returning it to its normal rhythm. This helps to restore the absorption of fluids into your body.

Adults and children 12 years and over

How to use

Dosage: for oral use only

Sudden short-lived (acute) diarrhoea:

• Adults and children over 12 years: Swallow two capsules initially, followed if required by 1 capsule after every further loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day. If your diarrhoea lasts for more than 24 hours, consult your doctor.

Diarrhoea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) already diagnosed by a doctor:

• Adults aged 18 years and over: Swallow 2 capsules initially, followed if required by 1 capsule after every loose bowel movement, or as advised previously by your doctor. Do not take more than 6 capsules per day. If your symptoms change or if your diarrhoea persists for more than 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Hazards and Cautions

• Not recommended for children under 12 years.
• Imodium is for the symptomatic relief of diarrhoea only and is not a substitute for rehydration therapy.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Warning: do not exceed the stated dose.

This is a medicine; - Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist - Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or if you suffer from allergies.
