The origin of the Six Grapes symbol began in the 19th century. The marking was used to identify barrels within the Graham range that contained the very best wines from each harvest with the rating going from one to six. Over a century later the Six Grapes symbol is still used by Graham's for their signature wines and a quality benchmark for their port.
