Pure crushed on ice or in cocktails. Try the \Aviation\ cocktail created by Hugo R. Esslinn, Wallick Hotel, New York in 1916.
>Ingredients:
45 ml Gin
15 ml Giffard Maraschino Liqueur
10 ml Giffard Crme de Violette (Violet)
15 ml lemon juice
>Preparation:
1. Add the ingredients to a shaker
2. Ice up 2/3 of the shaker with cubed ice
3. Shake vigorously for 7 to 10 seconds
4. Strain into a chilled glass (coupe) with no ice
5. Garnish with a cherry & serve
