Recipes:
For American-style Pancakes: You will need 2 medium eggs, 180ml semi-skimmed milk, and vegetable oil. Equipment: Non-stick frying pan. Instructions: 1. Place the mix into a bowl, add the eggs and 180ml milk. Mix using a hand whisk until smooth and lump free. 2. Heat a non-stick frying pan on a medium heat, lightly grease with vegetable oil. 3. Pour 2 tbsp of batter into the pan for each pancake and allow to cook over a medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
For Waffles: You will need 2 medium eggs, 240ml semi-skimmed milk, and vegetable oil. Equipment: Waffle maker. Instructions: 1. Place the mix into a bowl, add the eggs and 240ml milk. Mix using a hand whisk until smooth and lump free. 2. Heat the waffle maker and lightly oil. Add the batter and cook for around 4 minutes. Always consult manufacturer's instructions.
For Crepes: You will need 2 medium eggs, 340ml semi-skimmed milk, and vegetable oil. Instructions: 1. Place the mix into a bowl, add the eggs and 340ml milk. Mix using a hand whisk until smooth and lump free. Cover and leave to one side for at least 15 mins before use. 2. Lightly oil a frying pan and heat until very hot. Thinly coat the base of the pan with batter. Cook for 1 minute over a medium heat until golden brown on the underside. Turn over and cook the other side for a further minute.
Top tips! For fluffier pancakes and waffles, add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil to the batter.
