This unoaked Chardonnay is made for Fortnum's by the sixth generation of the Luquet family, who are based in the pretty village of Fuissé in southern Burgundy, just north of Lyon, and have worked with Fortnum's since 2009. Their focus is on quality and environmental best practice, and the grapes from their 32 hectares of vines are still harvested by hand. The result, here, is a lovely white wine with flavours of ripe peach balanced by freshness and gentle citrus acidity, perfect to drink with our Traditional Scotch Eggs.
