History: Famille Perrin has deep roots in the Rhône Valley, with a winemaking tradition dating back to the 1800s. The family's commitment to quality is evident in their dedication to organic and sustainable practices. Over the years, they've become one of the most respected names in the region, producing wines that express the unique character of the terroir. Their Côtes du Rhône Réserve Blanc reflects this heritage, offering a fresh, approachable wine that showcases the family's winemaking expertise.
Regional information: The Côtes du Rhône region, located in southeastern France, is known for its diverse terroirs and Mediterranean climate. The area benefits from a mix of sun, cool winds, and varied soils, including clay, limestone, and gravel. These conditions help produce wines with bright fruit flavors and balanced acidity. The region spans from Lyon to Provence, offering a range of wines, but the whites, like Famille Perrin's, are especially praised for their freshness and versatility with food.
Vinification: The grapes are picked early in the morning to keep them fresh. After pressing, the juice is chilled to remove any solid particles. The wine ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled 16°C for about 15 days. After fermentation, the wine is racked and aged in stainless steel tanks, maintaining its crisp character, until it's ready for bottling.
