History
Famille Perrin has been crafting wines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1909. Over five generations, the Perrin family has become one of the Southern Rhône's most respected wine producers, renowned for traditional winemaking, organic and biodynamic farming, and wines that express the character, balance and elegance of the region's exceptional terroirs.
Regional information
Made from vineyards across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this wine benefits from stony soils that absorb the warmth of the sun and help ripen the grapes fully. Young Beaucastel vines bring freshness and approachability, while parcels from Clos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape add spice and richness. Grenache grown at Le Grès contributes smooth texture, elegance and ripe fruit flavours.
Vinification
Grapes are harvested separately following regular maturity checks and berry tastings to ensure optimal ripeness. On arrival at the cellar, the fruit is carefully sorted. Part of the Syrah is vinified whole cluster, while the remaining Syrah and Grenache are destemmed. Fermentation takes place in wooden and stainless-steel vats using traditional Beaucastel methods, before blending and ageing in foudres for 2 years.
