The first Wedel's Chocolate Lounge was opened by Emil Wedel in 1894 in a Warsaw townhouse at Szpitalna 4. Its famous customers included Henryk Sienkiewicz, the Polish Nobel Prize winner in literature and a great chocolate lover, and Bolestaw Prus, another eminent Polish writer, who used to buy sweets there. The Lounge continues to operate in the same location under the name 'Staroswiecki Sklep' (Vintage Store). Come visit us!
