Originally from Cataluña, Spain, the Serralés family migrated to Puerto Rico in the 1830's where they established a sugar cane plantation and later imported a still from Cognac, in 1865, to produce rum. In addition, carefully aged Solera rum’s (aged up to 50 years) from our Spanish sherry casks are added to provide an extra level of depth. In the subtle aroma you can identify hints of vanilla and dark caramel, originating from the prolonged contact of the rum with the barrel.
