Domaine Jouan is a small domain of only three and a half hectares. Despite the tiny size and the under-the-radar vibes, they produce beautiful wines which inspire great devotion with many faithful customers. There are some impressively old vines at this estate, with this Gevrey Aux Echézeaux vine age averaging 70 to 100 years old.
Tasting Notes: This wine is rich, deep coloured and succulent yet remaining beautifully fresh. With supple fruit this Gevrey is charmingly reductive, with plenty black pepper spice, and a delicious classic Gevrey ferrous, iron-mineral undercurrent.
Pairing Suggestions: pairs well with beef, veal and poultry dishes.
