Covonia Dry & Tickly Cough 1.36g/5ml Oral Solution Sugar Free is for relief of the symptoms of coughs and sore throats. Covonia Dry & Tickly Cough 1.36g/5ml Oral Solution Sugar Free contains glycerol which coats the throat to soothe the symptoms of coughs and sore throats.

What the medicine looks like

Covonia Dry & Tickly Cough 1.36g/5ml Oral Solution Sugar Free is a brown viscous liquid. It is supplied in 150ml, 180ml and 300ml bottles.

Ingredients

Active ingredients per 5ml: Glycerol 1.36g, The other ingredients are: Capsicum Oleoresin 50,000 WS, Citric Acid (E330), Caramel (E150), Maltitol Liquid, Blackcurrant & Menthol Flavour (containing E1520 Propylene Glycol), Anise Flavour (containing E1520 Propylene Glycol), Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Sodium Benzoate (E211) and Purified Water

1. Before you use the medicine

• Do not use the medicine if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients listed in section 3.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding: Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Important ingredient information

• This medicine contains less than 1mmol sodium (23mg) per 5ml dose, that is to say essentially sodium-free.
• This medicine contains 31mg propylene glycol in each 5ml dose.
• This medicine contains 2.1mg benzoic acid/benzoate salt in each 5ml dose.

2. Possible side effects

There are no known side effects from using this medicine as directed. If you notice any side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist.

3. Further information

• If you accidentally take too much see a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you to show which medicine you have swallowed.
• Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
• Return any unused medicine to the pharmacy for disposal.

Storage

Do not store above 25°C. Once opened use within 28 days.

Usage

Important: Peel top leaf and read all text inside before use. Do not peel off, re-fix for future use. Shake The Bottle Before Use. Take the solution by mouth.

• Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Take 2 x 5ml spoonfuls when required up to a maximum of 4 times a day.
• Children over 1 year: Take 1 x 5ml spoonful when required up to a maximum of 4 times a day.
• Do not give to children under 1 year old unless your doctor tells you to.
• If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
