Tasting Notes
This wine is aromatic and complex on the nose with notes of blackberry and cassis, followed by hints of pepper and leather. On the palate, dark fruits and spice are complemented by silky smooth tannins. A great match with roast lamb.

History
This 70-hectare estate is run by the Long family in the foothills north of the distinctive Dentelles de Montmirail. The average vine age here is 35 years and the Domaine was certified organic in 2009. Their altitude and the shade provided by surrounding mountains, together with meticulous work to balance the ecosystem of the vineyard, means the grapes maintain a fresh, vibrant acidity despite the heat. In the cellar, great care is taken to produce balanced, elegant wines that reflect their terroir.

Regional Information
The climate in the Rhone is Mediterranean, meaning grapes grown here enjoy hot summers and mild winters. The resulting wines are bold and rich with relatively high alcohol, making them the ideal pairing for grilled or roasted meat dishes.
