Regional information: The varieties Chardonnay and Assyrtiko, from which Ploes is produced, are cultivated in the vineyards of Adriani, on a hillside at an altitude of 200-300 meters, with a northern exposure. The soil is alkaline and clayey, while planting density reaches 4,500 vines/ha. The climate is Mediterranean, with temperatures ranging from -5°C in winter to 36°C in summer. Harvest began on August 6 and was completed on September 5, with yields of 10 tn/ha.
