Recipe SuggestionCheese and onion quicheServes: 4You Will Need...500g Block shortcrust pastry3 Large eggs140g Double cream120g Milk140g Grated cheddar cheese1 Jar Cook with caramelised onionsMethodPre heat the oven to 180 fan, grease a round 20 cm per 5 cm loose bottomed tin, roll the pastry to a round 5mm thick then carefully line the tin, trim any overhanging pastry leading a 1cm overlap line then fill the pastry with baking beans, place into the preheated oven and bake for 22 mins, remove the beans brush the pastry with egg wash and cook for a further 5 mins until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and cool.FillingWhisk the eggs, mix in the cream and milk before stirring through the cheese and onion, season with salt and pepper then pour the mixture into the pastry. Carefully place back into the oven and cook for 30-35 mins or until the mixture is set with a slight wobble in the centre.Allow to cool, serve.Why Not Try...- Topping on burgers, hotdogs and pizzas- In a beef and onion pie- As a base for soups, stews and sauces- In cheese toasties- Layering in Boulangere potatoes
