Discovered and propagated by Henri Gouges himself, the grapes that produce this Clos des Porrets Monopole are a rare mutated “white” Pinot Noir, known as Pinot Gouges. With the good fortune to be spared from the year’s hail spells, this 2018 vintage is layered and velvety with an ample fruit core. On the nose, it possesses a bouquet of plum, raspberry and cassis mingled with subtle cola and oak.
