The prestigious vineyard of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation has been existing since the Roman era and is one of the oldest estate from the south of Burgundy. Most of the 7 hectares of the vineyard are surrounding the castle and have been managed by the same family for the last seven generations. The wines are planted on a clay-limestone soil, which gives a typical minerality to this great and prestigious white wine.
Tasting Notes
The color has a brilliant yellow hue. On the nose, there is a complex mix of white fruits, acacia flowers, lemon, vanilla and honey. In mouth, the wine has an elegant freshness, is concentrated and powerful. The finish is very long, sustained by mineral flavors on the palate completed by candied lemon and pineapple aromas.
