Chateau D'Escurac is in the commune of Civrac-Médoc. One of its special features is its location on a high hill of gravelly soil over a clay subsoil rather than clay limestone, as is the case for almost all of the rest of the commune. This remarkable soil explains the unique character of the estate's wines. Within 23 hectares, the delicious blend contains 59% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc.
