For a richly smoky and smooth Scotch, Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Islay Barley delivers a memorable dram. This heavily peated single malt is made exclusively from 100% Islay barley grown on six farms across the Hebridean island. Enjoy it neat or with a splash of water to release its warming, coastal character.
For the very first time Port Charlotte has been distilled exclusively from 100% Islay barley. Grown on six farms across Bruichladdich's wild, hebridean island - Coull, Kynagarry, Island, Rockside, Strachmill and Sunderland, the Port Charlotte Islay Barley is a heavily peated Bruichladdich.
This whisky is minty and warm, evocative of smokiness drifting sensuously from the glass shadowed by a salt sea breeze. On the palate, it's held together with soft fruits splashed with sea spray. Gilded lily in tone, this whisky is smooth, succulent and stimulating. Best served neat, with a splash of water or as you wish.
