Always wash your hands thoroughly before preparing a feed. When making up milk formula always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and allow the freshly boiled water to cool before pouring it into the Trainer Cup. Ensure that the cap is correctly in place when shaking the cup to mix the feed, and hold the Trainer Cup upright. The outside of the Trainer Cup will feel cooler than the feed, therefore always check the temperature of the feed carefully before offering to your baby. Health guidelines recommend that if feeding your baby milk formula it should always be freshly prepared. Storing milk formula that has already been made may increase the chances of your baby becoming ill. STORAGE: Store in a dry, covered container, out of direct sunlight, when not in use. Please note: The teats are made from silicone, which has a natural tendency to stick if not used for prolonged periods. This may affect the initial function of the anti-colic valves. When washing the teat before first use, please pay special attention to the valves. Gently squeeze each valve until it opens freely and then flush with warm water. After use the valves should open freely, but to ensure they remain as sensitive as possible, it is important to continue to flush with warm water during cleaning, to remove any milk residue.
Hazards and Cautions
WARNINGS: Read the warnings below and the instructions included on the back of the card carefully before first use, and retain for future reference. For your child's safety and health WARNING! Always use this product with adult supervision - Accidents have occurred when babies have been left alone with drinking equipment due to the baby falling or if the product has been disassembled. Keep all components not in use out of the reach of children. Never use feeding teats / spouts as a soother. Inspect immediately before and after each use and pull the spout in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Do not leave the Trainer Cup in direct sunlight or heat, or leave in disinfectant (sterilising solution) for longer than recommended, as this may damage and weaken the product. Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay - Tooth decay in young children can occur even when non-sweetened fluids are used. This can occur if baby is allowed to use the Trainer Cup for long periods through the day and particularly through the night, when saliva flow is reduced or if it is used as a soother. Always check food temperature before feeding. Heating in a microwave oven may produce localised high temperatures. Take extra care when microwave heating. Always stir heated food to ensure even heat distribution and test the temperature before serving. Never heat in a microwave with Trainer Cup sealed. Always remove the spout, locking ring, handles and cap. Not suitable for use in a conventional oven or a combination microwave oven with the grill feature switched on. Complies with EN 14350
