In our rustic range we exchanged a part of the paraffin for natural vegan wax. We state that this is more sustainable, because paraffin is a raw material that cannot be renewed. The natural vegan wax is from plant sources, which can be renewed every year. Paraffin is a by-product from fossil oil, which we efficiently use as burning mass in our candles. This is more sustainable than not using the remaining paraffin. Only when fossil oil is not used anymore, paraffin becomes less sustainable.
Apart from contributing to a better world, we also strive for the best burning quality, meeting the RAL criteria. Until now, we're not able to use full 100% natural vegan wax for these rustic pillar candles yet. We are continuously working on improving our products and making them more sustainable.
Preparation and Usage: Place the product in a safe place, away from combustible materials and out of direct sunlight. Use a sturdy coaster and make sure that the candle can't fall over. If you place several candles together, place them 10cm apart so that they don't get warped from the heat. Stand the wick upright before lighting it and use a candle snuffer to avoid splashing.
