Regional information: At the foot of Laguardia, between the Sierra de Cantabria and the sinuous course of the Ebro, Bodegas Cosme Palacio keeps the dynamic spirit of its origins alive. Protected by the imposing rocks, Tempranillo vines find their ideal conditions here. High altitude, chalky-clay soils, south facing, a unique microclimate with Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. A great potential for finesse, nurtured with the utmost care.
Vinification details: The grapes were harvested from the oldest vineyards after careful checks on their ripeness. The picking was carried out using small crates so as not to damage the fruit and upon arrival at the winery, they underwent cold pre-maceration before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After long maceration, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels, where it remained for 22 months.
