Founded in 1811 on the island of Madeira by John Ernest Blandy, the Blandy name has become synonymous with quality Madeira wine. This is a medium-rich style of Madeira made from the Bual grape variety. It has been aged for 15 years in small oak casks at Blandy's Wine Lodges in the centre of Funchal. This extended ageing gives the wine a profound complexity and velvety smoothness.
