Delicious Bird's Custard in a few easy steps!All You Need- Saucepan- Large jug- Large bowl (2L)- 1 pint of milk- 2 tbsp of sugarOn the Hob1 Mix 2 heaped tbsp (35g) of custard powder with 2 tbsp (35g) of sugar in a saucepan.2 Measure 1 pint (568ml) of cold milk, add a little of it (approx. 2 tbsp) to the pan and stir to form a smooth paste.3 Stir in the remainder of the milk.4 Heat, stirring continuously, until gently boiling.\Microwave 800W, Cat E800W, Cat E1 Mix 2 heaped tbsp (35g) of custard powder with 2 tbsp (35g) of sugar in a large bowl (at least 2L).2 Measure 1 pint (568ml) of cold milk, add a little of it (approx. 2 tbsp) to the bowl and stir with a fork to form a smooth paste.3 Stir in the remainder of the milk.4 Heat on full power for 6 minutes, whisking/stirring half way through and again at the end.You Make it SpecialUse skimmed, semi-skimmed, whole, coconut or almond milk to make your perfect custard.Vary the milk quantity for your desired consistency.Add more or less sugar to suit your taste.

Cooking Instructions - General. How to make delicious Bird's Custard: To make 1 pint (568ml)NB. All cooking appliances vary. These are guidelines only. Cooking time will differ for a lower or higher wattage microwave oven.; Hob - From Ambient. 1. Put 2 tablespoons (35g) of custard powder and 1-2 tablespoons (15g-35g) of sugar in a basin.2. Mix into a smooth paste with a little (approx. 2 tablespoons) milk taken from 1 pint (568ml).3. Heat the remaining milk to nearly boiling and pour onto the custard mix, stirring well.4. Return to the saucepan and bring to the boil over a gentle heat, stirring continuously.; Microwave - From Ambient. 1. Put 2 tablespoons (35g) of custard powder and 1-2 tablespoons (15g-35g) of sugar in a basin.2. Mix into a smooth paste with a little (approx. 2 tablespoons) milk taken from 1 pint (568ml).3. Add the remaining milk and cook on full power for 6 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking period.4. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.
