Redemption Roasters The Yard whole bean coffee offers a unique tasting experience with bright pear and red apple acidity and a sweet caramel finish. This single-origin blend is versatile for espresso but best enjoyed black to appreciate its complexity.
Sparkling with up front pear-like acidity, The Yard's flavour notes then move into red apple and juicy apricot, ending with a delicious caramel sweetness. Although versatile across all espresso drinks, The Yard's complexity shines when enjoyed black. We believe great coffee can come from people and places you'd least expect. With our sourcing we aim to create opportunities for people otherwise disadvantaged or disenfranchised, and we choose sourcing partners with the same values.
Redemption Roasters live up to their name. As the world's first prison based coffee roastery, they're committed to using coffee to help reduce reoffending in the UK. Their mission: they believe great coffee can come from people and places you wouldn't expect. At their roastery HQ in HMP The Mount in London, they train offenders in coffee industry skills with the aim of reducing reoffending in the UK. Each coffee they roast has a strong story too: from collectives working together to negotiate a fair price, to female-only growers challenging gender inequality. They partner with producers who are working hard to make a difference in their communities. The end result is a brew that's helping raising the bar for all involved.

| Storage Instructions | Store your coffee in either the bag it came in or within an airtight container to prevent oxidation. If you are storing the coffee directly in an espresso machine hopper, make sure to wipe out the hopper before refilling to remove coffee oils that go rancid over time. Keep coffee away from direct sunlight or warmth from indoor lighting or above hot ovens, refrigerators and freezers. Coffee is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs ambient moisture from the air. Refrigerators are full of moisture filled aromas that your coffee has no issues absorbing. Do NOT store coffee in your Fridge. |
| Instructions for use | Best when consumed within 30 days of Roast date. Whenever possible, grind fresh just before your brew to further preserve and trap the coffees volatile aromatics. More developed Roast Coffees require more cleaning. Use a dry cloth to clean grinder hoppers regularly to avoid buildup of oils. |
