History: Our home - the Barossa Valley. We live in the heart of it. A small, beautiful place tucked on the southern edge of Australia. We started making wine here in 1985. We respect and celebrate the rich history of the Barossa Valley and are proud to be a part of it. We capture the heritage of the Barossa Valley and bring it to today. We take all that we have learnt to create exciting wines from the Barossa Valley - wines capturing the distinctive elegance, finesse & vibrant fruit flavours of this special place.
Regional information: Small in size, the Barossa Valley is nestled on the southern edge of Australia has become one of the world¹s great wine regions.
Along the foothills of the Barossa Valley, a tapestry of ancient friable red clay loams combine with a warm and dry climate to create a unique environment for vines to develop fruit that has a vibrancy and depth of flavour like nowhere else on earth.
Vinification: Fruit of exceptional varietal intensity, tannin profile and brilliant colour. Vineyard blocks harvested and vinified separately. Fruit was fermented at controlled temperatures for up to 7 days to retain the elegant, vibrant varietal characters and soft tannin structure. Upon completion of fermentation, wine was racked and underwent malolactic fermentation. It was then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels to impart a softness and texture, and enhance bouquet, varietal character, elegance and structure.
