Antinori's Guado al Tasso estate debuted with the 1990 vintage, and three decades on is still as coveted a drop as ever. The vineyard, which is situated 45-60 metres above sea level, has rocky, slightly limestone soil, with Merlot the first grape to be harvested. In the 2019 iteration, rich blackcurrant and black cherry flavours overlay a more complex layer of wood spice, black olives and tobacco.
