This wine is made from the finest selection of Malbec Grapes from our best vineyards. The grapes are hand harvested and the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months to help round out the fruit-forward character. With a deep red hue and purple-blue tints, Terroir Selection Malbec has aromas of black fruits with vanilla notes. The wine has a rich, voluptuous character in the mouth, with soft tannins. With the overall focus on quality, this wine is made in very limited production, and average yields are low, around two plants per bottle. In, while black fruit, complexity and elegance were provided by the terroirs Alizarine and Azamor, fresh red fruit, tannin structure and aroma persistence were given by the terroirs of Valle de Uco, Albaneve and Temis.

History: Alta Vista se fundo en el año 1998 en Mendoza destacándose como una bodega de referencia en la exploración de terruños de altura a traves del varietal Malbec. Nuestro Malbec Terroir Selection Malbec Mendoza es un vino 100% malbec que proviene de 4 fincas propias, donde cada una aporta complejidad al corte.
Regional information: La Provincia de Mendoza se ubica en el centro oeste de Argentina, y se destaca en su producción de vinos de altura, con viñedos de ubicados a mas de 1.000 m de altura sobre el nivel del mar, en el piedemonte de la Cordillera de los Andes.
Vinification: Las diferentes fincas y parcelas de malbec de altura de Mendoza se cosechan y vinifican separadamente en vasijas de concreto, fermentan durante 20 a 30 días, momento en que se decide su descube y prensado. Los vinos se cortan en proporción ideal para tener tener un malbec complejo con identidad de viñedos de altura mendocinos. La crianza en barricas de roble francés alcanza 12 meses, para luego embotellarse, pudiendo conservar el vino 10 años.
