Active Iron Pregnancy Plus
During pregnancy your nutritional requirements increase to support the healthy development of your growing baby. Active Iron Pregnancy Plus provides the essential nutrients mum and baby need throughout each trimester.
With blood volume increasing by up to 50% during pregnancy there is an increased requirement for iron. Iron helps to support normal energy production and reduction of tiredness and fatigue, as well as supporting immunity, cognitive function, oxygen transport and red blood cell production.
Omega-3 DHA supports foetal brain and eye development.*
Folic acid helps to reduce the risk of your baby developing neural tube defects (NTD)** and supports maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Vitamin D supports normal cell growth and division, and contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function. Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal teeth and bones.
* This beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the RDA for omega-3 fatty acids: 250 mg DHA and EPA.

Directions for Use
Women pre, during and post pregnancy (including breastfeeding) take 1 capsule of Active Iron, 1 omega-3 DHA capsule and 1 complete multivitamin tablet daily with water or fruit juice.
Active Iron is gentle enough to take on an empty stomach.
